Local SEO: getting on the map, not just on Google
Your customer does not search for the best. They search for something near them, they open the first listing on the map and they ring it. Local SEO is the work that makes that first listing yours.
From 150 € + VAT a month. No tie-in.
What local SEO actually is
It is everything that decides whether your business appears in the little map that Google puts at the top when somebody nearby searches for what you sell. That map is not your website. It is your Google Business Profile, and it is a separate thing with its own rules.
It matters more here than in a city. On this coast a lot of searches are made by somebody who arrived last week, does not know the local names and is standing in the street with a phone. They will not scroll. They will ring whoever is at the top with photographs, opening hours and reviews that look recent.
It is also the cheapest thing you can fix, which is why our entry pack is 150 € and not 950 €. If your listing is a mess, spending on a new website first is spending in the wrong order.

What we do every month
Your Google listing, managed
Categories, services, opening hours, holidays, photographs of the real place. Not set up once and forgotten, but kept current, because Google notices which listings move.
Review strategy
A routine for asking that does not annoy anybody, and replies to the ones that come in — including the bad ones, which are the ones other customers read most carefully.
Local SEO inside your website too
The town names, the services and the schema markup that ties the site to the listing. The two have to agree or Google trusts neither.
Position tracking
Where you appear for the searches that matter, month by month, so we can tell whether what we did worked instead of guessing.
A report you can read
Calls, route requests and searches from the listing’s own panel. One page, not forty.
English and Spanish
If half your customers read English, the listing and the site have to work in English. We write both.
How we start
1 · We look
Your listing, your site and the three or four businesses that are beating you in your town. Before saying anything.
2 · The basics first
Categories, services, hours, photographs, the things that are wrong and cost nothing to fix. Most listings gain more from this than from anything clever.
3 · A monthly routine
Posts, reviews, photographs, and keeping the listing alive. Local SEO is not a project that finishes.
4 · Measure and correct
If a month does nothing, we change what we are doing and we tell you that we changed it.
A real job, ten minutes up the road
A restaurant in Altea came to us with a listing that had the old opening hours, three photographs from 2019 and a category that said «restaurant» and nothing else. No website, and no budget for one.
We did not build them a website. We set the categories properly — the specific one, plus the two secondary ones that match what they actually cook — put the real hours in, including the winter closure, uploaded photographs of the dining room and the terrace, and started asking for reviews with a card on the table and a QR code that goes straight to the review form.
What changed is not a position on a screen. It is that the listing now answers the three questions somebody asks before walking in: are you open, what do you cook, and did anyone like it recently. That is the whole job, and it costs 150 € + VAT a month.
We are not going to show you a graph going up and to the right, because the graph that matters is in the owner’s own Google panel, and it is theirs, not ours to publish.
Where we do local SEO, besides Altea
The map behaves differently in every town on this coast, and the difference is not subtle. In Calpe, 54.1 % of residents hold a foreign passport and seven nationalities sit above a thousand people, so a listing written only in Spanish talks to less than half the town. In Moraira, one in six residents is British and the reviews are read in English before anybody rings.
In Benidorm the competition is the hardest on the coast and the visitor traffic is constant. In La Nucía and Polop half the population lives in urbanisations, which changes what Google shows depending on where the phone is standing. In Villajoyosa the foreign community is Eastern European and North African, so the English-first playbook is the wrong one.
That is why the work is not a template with the town name swapped. The eight towns each have their own page, with their own figures from the Spanish National Statistics Institute.
What local SEO will not fix
It will not fix a business nobody wants to come back to. If the reviews are bad because the service is bad, making the listing easier to find only means more people find out faster. We would rather say that at the start than take the money for six months.
It will also not fix a trade with no local searches behind it. Some businesses sell to the whole of Spain, or to other businesses, and for them the map is close to irrelevant. We will tell you if yours is one of those, and what we would do instead.
And it does not replace a website when you need one. The listing gets you found; the website is what convinces somebody who is comparing three of you. They do different jobs and the order matters: listing first, because it is cheaper and faster.
What we are not going to do
What local SEO costs
It is the Profile pack, 150 € + VAT a month: listing managed, one post a month, review strategy and the monthly report. If you also want social media, website maintenance and Google Ads, that is the Complete at 950 €, and the Pro at 1,500 € adds drone video, Meta Ads and a blog article a month. No tie-in on any of them.
Frequently asked questions about local SEO
I do not have a website. Is local SEO still worth it?
Often it is the only thing worth doing at first. The listing appears on the map without a website, and for a lot of trades that is where the calls come from. We would rather you spent 150 € a month on the listing than 1,500 € on a site nobody finds.
What exactly is the Google listing?
It is your Google Business Profile: the card that appears on the right in Google and the pin that appears on the map. It is free, it belongs to you, and it is a separate thing from your website. Most of the calls a local business gets from the internet come through it, which is why we start there.
My listing has disappeared or been suspended. Can you recover it?
Usually yes. Suspensions normally come from a category that does not match the business, an address that cannot be verified, or somebody else having claimed the listing years ago. It is a process with Google, it takes patience, and we handle it.
What if I do not have premises open to the public?
There is a specific setting for businesses that go to the customer. Configured properly you appear across the area you serve; configured badly you disappear from the map altogether, which is more common than you would think.
How long does it take?
The first movements on the listing usually show within weeks. Getting into the top three for a competitive search in a busy town takes months. Anybody who gives you a date is guessing.
I do not have a shop, I go to the customer. Can I still appear?
Yes. Google has a setting for businesses that serve an area rather than receive visits, and it has to be configured properly or you disappear from the map entirely.
Can you work on a listing that is not verified, or that I have lost access to?
Yes, and it is more common than you would think. Recovering a listing somebody else claimed years ago is a process with Google, and we handle it.
Do you work in English?
Yes, start to finish: the listing, the reports and the conversations.
What else we do
Each service has its own page, with what it includes and what it costs.
